Question by coconutbirthdaysuit: Plan change, going from a Razr cell phone to a BlackBerry with Rogers in Toronto, Canada?
I’m currently on a Rogers plan on a black razr phone. My friend gave me his old BlackBerry (8800 series), which I intend to use instead of my cellphone. Do I need to call Rogers and make sure they aren’t suddenly charging me for email and internet and whatever else? I only want my BlackBerry for calls and text messages, just like on my old cell phone. I don’t really have the need to check my email or facebook or anything while I’m on the road… Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i would definatly call them you are going to have to turn alot of the features of the blackberry off in order to use it just as the phone. the blackberry and all of the other smart phones out will connect automatically to the interent to check for emails and everything regardless of not having email set up, its just how the phones are.
